Start-ups developing solutions to modulate the gut microbiome and its link to both physical health and mental well-being through the gut-brain axis were invited to apply.

Puratos is a global leader in innovative food solutions for bakery, patisserie and chocolate customers, that promote health & well-being, with the main focus of its research being in gut health.

Puratos encouraged innovators with solutions in the following to apply:

  • Prebiotics
  • Postbiotics
  • Non-spore forming food stable probiotics
  • New plant fibres
  • Upcycled ingredients
  • Fermented ingredients
  • Technologies or services that have the potential to improve the gut microbiome and/or to measure its impact on consumers health.

All selected finalists will enjoy PR visibility to the Future Food-Tech global audience and pitch live on stage in the Challenge Final at the Future Food-Tech summit in London on September 22-23, with complementary passes to access both days of the summit’s networking and insights.

  • Entries closed Friday August 5
  • After shortlisting and review, the finalists will be announced Thursday September 1
  • The Innovation Challenge Final will take place live on stage at Future Food-Tech on September 22-23, to a global audience. All finalists will be invited as guests to join the summit in London for two days of valuable networking and insights.
